Turn on automatic updates
Updates fix security holes that criminals use. Let your devices install them automatically.
iPhone / iPad
Settings → General → Software Update → Automatic Updates — turn everything on.
Android
Settings → System → Software update (or Software update on Samsung) — turn on automatic download. In Google Play, tap your picture → Settings → Network preferences → Auto-update apps.
Windows
Start → Settings → Windows Update — click Check for updates, and turn on Get the latest updates as soon as they're available.
Mac
System Settings → General → Software Update → Automatic updates — turn everything on.
Real updates never arrive as a phone call or a pop-up asking you to call a number.
