Bitwarden: a free password manager for every device

Bitwarden works on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android and has a free plan.

If you use a mix of devices (for example a Windows computer and an iPhone), a free Bitwarden account keeps your passwords in one place.

Steps

  1. On your computer, type bitwarden.com into your web browser yourself.
  2. Create a free account. Choose a master password — a long phrase only you know, like four random words. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe at home, not in your phone.
  3. Install the Bitwarden app on your phone from the App Store or Google Play.
  4. Log in on each device with the same email and master password.
  5. Add your most important passwords first: email, bank, myGov.
Bitwarden staff — and SteadyCheck — will never ask for your master password.
